The tweet is just cryptic enough to leave an element of uncertainty hanging -- does the event start on Dec. 13 or is it just an announcement? We'd bet on the former.

We already had some evidence of an approaching Overwatchwinter event thanks to the programming-savvy contingent of fans. Right around Thanksgiving, code-divers spotted music and voice lines in a recent update that seemed to point toward some kind of holiday-themed happening.
Based on how Blizzard's approached past holiday events, you can probably expect a redesigned main menu screen, a boatload of new customization items and character skins, and some sort of limited-time game mode.
Keep an eye on the OverwatchTwitter feed and subreddit in the coming days, as there's a good chance more will be revealed -- or slip out -- ahead of Dec. 13.
