In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter,MILF | Adult Movies Online Iger called the whole #DumpStarWars story "overblown and silly" and denied that the latest Star Warsmovie had any political dimension.

"I have no reaction to [this] story at all. Frankly, this is a film that the world should enjoy. It is not a film that is, in any way, a political film. There are no political statements in it, at all," he said.

However, not everyone was happy with this statement. People on Twitter questioned the alleged political neutrality of the Star Wars franchise, referring to the big picture of rebels fighting against a fascist regime:

The boycott was started by Jack Posobiac who describes himself as special projects director for a group called Citizens for Trump. He claimed on Twitter that Star Warswriters re-wrote Rogue Oneto add anti-Trump scenes calling him a racist.

The claims have been retweeted and shared with the hashtag #DumpStarWars by many Trump supporters and those belonging to the so called alt-right, which includes white supremacists and white nationalists.

It's likely that Posobiac and his followers are upset at Star Warsscreenwriters Chris Weitz and Gary Whitta, who switched their Twitter avatars to images of the logo of the Rebel Alliance with a safety pin hooked through it, after Donald Trump won the U.S. election in November.
