Two months after the Cubs won their first World Series since 1908, Ellen and Aaron Dalbey welcomed their baby — Wrigley Rose — to the world at 12:12 a.m. on New Year's Day. Wrigley is the first baby born in the Chicago area in 2017, according to the Chicago Tribune, and her name is a fitting tribute to Wrigley Field, where the Cubs have played since 1916.

The Dalbeys swear they decided on "Wrigley" long before Chicago's historic World Series win in November.

"We knew some people would be questioning if we only named her that because they won the World Series," Aaron said, per the Chicago Tribune. "We like to let people know we chose the name before the Cubs won."

Though the name was even a safe bet back in spring, when the Dalbeys decided on it, and when the Cubs had the best odds of winning the World Series.

Later in the day, Jennifer and Chuck Barham delivered their baby — Addyson — whose name references both the street next to Wrigley Field and Cubs shortstop Addison Russell.

So, just when you thought the 2016 Cubs hysteria was done, it lives on with Addyson Kelley Jeanne Barham and Wrigley Rose Dalbey.
