How many times have The Sex Files 2 A Dark XXX Parodyyou seen claims of a smartphone with long battery life, only to be disappointed when, in real life, said smartphone barely lasts a day?
Xiaomi's new Mi Max 2 phablet, however, might actually live up to its promise of two-day battery life.
SEE ALSO: Xiaomi Mi 6 brings Galaxy S8-level specs for half the priceThe 6.44-inch successor to last year's Mi Max (not to be confused with the nearly bezel-less Mi Mix, which also came out last year) looks to be a solid mid-range device, with a Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64/128GB of storage, 12-megapixel camera, a fingerprint sensor on the back and a full-metal unibody.

But its biggest claim to fame (besides that enormous screen) is its 5,300mAh battery (the original Mi Max had a 4,850mAh) battery -- which Xiaomi claims should last for two full days.
It's tough to say whether this is true based on capacity alone, but since many reviews pointed out Mi Max's excellent battery life, it successor will likely fare even better with that regard.

Other specs of note include an IR blaster and stereo speakers, as well as Quick Charge 3.0 support for that big battery.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will launch in China on June 1, with price starting at RMB1,699 or $247. There's no word of availability in other markets.
