Comedian Amy Schumer put E! Newson blast and Wolverine XXX Parodyis encouraging others walking the red carpet at Sunday's Golden Globes television and movie award show to do the same to promote pay equality.

Schumer said in an Instagram post she'll be letting the entertainment network and audiences know she stands with Catt Sadler and equal pay for women in the entertainment industry and beyond.

FormerE! News host Sadler left the network last month after learning one of her on-air colleagues -- a man -- made almost double what she did.

The hashtag #imwithcattsad started percolating Sunday throughout entertainment circles ahead of the awards show. Many women said they would post about pay equality online or actually bring up gender-based pay disparities while walking through E!'s pre-show event and beyond.

Many attendees are wearing black and a Time's Up pin to the first major awards show of the season to bring attention to rampant sexual harassment and assault within the entertainment industry.

UPDATE Jan. 7, 2018, 2:21 p.m. PT:E!responded with a statement about its compensation policies for its hosts and correspondents, “E!compensates employees fairly and appropriately based on their roles, regardless of gender. We appreciate Catt Sadler’s many contributions at E! Newsand wish her all the best following her decision to leave the network.”
