Looks like Samsung's not out of the woods quiteyet.

The early owners noticed something a little off—some of their screens had a red/pinkish hue to them. Users posted photos to social media sites and held discussions on the Korean forum, PPOMPPU, to figure out what was up with the altered phone display. According to ZDNet, on Tuesday, "Galaxy S8 Red Screen" was a trending search topic on South Korea's largest search engine, Naver.

While we can all agree a tinted screen is nowhere nearas dramatic (or dangerous) as a phone literally exploding, Samsung is really not in a position to be annoying its customers. Luckily, the company says the problem can be fixed manually.
Samsung released the following statement to ZDNet:
"All Samsung phones undergo thorough testing to meet our high level of quality standards. The Infinity Display on the Galaxy S8 and S8+ has applied Super AMOLED and provides rich and expressive colors, enabling users to enjoy a clearer and more vivid viewing experience. The Galaxy S8 was built with an adaptive display that optimizes the color range, saturation, and sharpness depending on the environment."
According to the company, to manually fix the screen color, owners can visit the Settingspage and go to Display > Screen Mode > Color balance. This allows the color range of the device's display to be changed.
Phew, that was a close one.
