As well as shutting down trolls and A Guy Who Tried To Eat His Friend’s Sister in law and Got Eaten (2024)slamming Donald Trump, one of J.K. Rowling's other favourite Twitter past-times is micro-blogging her writing process.

She's previously shared advice for aspiring writers, and on one memorable occasion she even posted photos of the rejection letters she'd received in the past.

On Thursday, Rowling was clearly in a sharing mood.

Throughout the evening, she began responding to comments and questions from fans.

Soon the conversation turned to Fantastic Beasts 2.

And, inevitably, onto the subject of spoilers.

Rather than refusing to answer, though, Rowling tweeted this cryptic response.

Okay, okay: so that's not exactly much to go on, is it?

But just the fact that it isa spoiler (and a big one, at that) tells us that Newt's patronus is obviously going to feature heavily in the second film.

And what do we know about patronus'? Well, as was the case with Snape, they can be influenced by a person that the wizard or witch has been in love with.

Combine that with the fact J.K. Rowling has already said we'll find out more about Leta Lestrange -- Newt's childhood love -- in the next film, and it seems likely that Newt's patronus will have something to do with her.
